Programs

The East Interlake Watershed District offers several programs as well as funds for specific projects that will improve the health of Interlake watersheds. To learn more about our programs click on a category on the left-hand sidebar.

Programs available for landowners:

  • Riparian Area Management
    • This program is designed to promote beneficial management practices along waterways and water bodies. Eligible projects include:
      1. Livestock Exclusion Fencing
      2. Off-Stream Watering Systems
      3. Streambank/Shorline Stabilization
      4. Buffer Strip Creation
    • In order to qualify for funds, the landowner must fill out and return an application form to the EIWD office.

    • If you have an abandoned well on your property that you would like to have permanently sealed, the EIWD may be able to offset a portion or all of the costs.
    • In order to qualify for funds, the landowner must fill out and return an application form to the EIWD office.

    • This program is designed to encourage the maintenance of naturally vegetated areas and to retain the positive values of bush, grassland, marsh, and/or stream habitat.
    • In order to qualify for funds, the landowner must fill out and return an application form to the EIWD office.
